The Corpus Christi Bay Trail isn't a traditional hiking trail, but more of an urban, concrete biking and walking path along the bay that connects ,amu small city parks. At times you have to cross the street to find a safer side to walk on.
My girlfriend and I walked north from Ropes Park to the Marina and back. Along Shoreline Blvd, we passed the Selena Statue and a "to scale" exhibit of the solar system that has the exhibits of the 9 planets spaced apart in relative proportions to give you an idea of how much empty space there is between the planets, especially the outer ones. The walk is pleasant and provides scenic views of the bay, but it can be crowded as it is a popular place to walk and exercise. We did not walk the southern half of the trail, but it is far less crowded and less developed than the northern half. Watch for traffic.
We started near the Art Museum of South Texas and walked to Selina Statue and back.
Nice seawall area.
