There is an organization that places Wind Phones all over the world in honor of the founder's deceased daughter. It is a really novel idea that places old telephones in strategic locations. They are not hooked up to anything and will never ring, but it allows people to pick up the receiver and dial their lost loved ones. We decided to hike to one in the Red Buttes Recreation Area. We had to hike about 0.2 miles up to the Town Overlook to find it, but it was worth it.
I forgot to turn off my hiking app so it kept recording my track file as I went down the road, but I am only counting the mileage up to the phone and back to my truck.
