Comments:

Not a great "hike", but a good stroll around the lake. You get to see all the different parts of the park (earthen dam, swimming area, wetlands, etc). But, we agree with the previous poster, the trail never gets "away".

There are a lot of side trails and it is easy to get away from what might be the "main" trail. But, it way typically easy to get back. The exception to this for us was past the swimming area going counter-clockwise. There is a very rough trail closest to the water, but it seems that you should stay on the higher trail.

An hour and 20 mins is how long it took us to go around - stopping often and exploring a bit. We stopped for a good 10-15 minutes to watch the turtles and fish hanging around the short wooden bridge in the far eastern part of the park. We also stopped to look for and listen to the songfull birds throughout the park. Among others, we saw a summer tanger and a few cardinals.
