Quiet, varied, nice views

Comments: I have hiked this trail in 1997 and again in November of 2003. Both hikes had me a bit disoriented, but I found my way eventually after much searching. The signs warning of lack of markings at the windmill are not stretching the truth. It is rather difficult to navigate beyond that point without getting off track. I imagine a GPS might help. I enjoyed the hikes all the same, and there is indeed a bathroom and shower at the ranger station. There is also a very friendly roadrunner that I met while I was there in 2003.
