On what was supposed to be a rest day for us, we ended up taking another ranger-led hike. This time a team effort of Canadian and American park employees. We drove up to Waterton National Park in Canada and met the group for our hike south. At the southern terminus we'd hop on a boat and take a ride back to the start.
Due to time constraints and to ensure that we would not miss the boat back to Canada the group was led at a faster pace than other guided hikes that we'd had in the past. That meant fewer opportunities to stop for long to discuss certain formations or plants and animals that looked interesting.
