What was that?

Austin Explorer on the trail
Here I am on the trail leading up to Otokomi Lake. Once again we were beset with smoke-filled skies, but at least we had trails to hike!

Comments:

This was one of the harder hikes that we tackled on our trip.  That generally means fewer people away from the trailhead as well, which turned out to be the case.

We have the lake to ourselves when we got there.  After lunch we lounged for a bit but then heard some rather loud rustling in the heavy brush that came right up to the lake edge.  Not knowing what it was, we decided to head back a bit earlier than we otherwise had planned.
