Miles Hiked: 4.30 Miles  Elapsed Time: 1 hour, 40 minutes

Comments:

Route    Burkett Park > Suzanne's Trail > Lanky Lackey > Nature Loop > service road (E) > Chaparral > Winding Snake > Burkett Park     4.3 miles

Temps in low 80's, sunny and a good breeze.

Hiked with a friend just to stretch the legs and get some fresh air.  Bee brush is beginning to bloom in the south part of the park so the scent of vanilla was detected.  No snakes although we talked to a woman who saw three rattlers on Winding Snake trail a few days earlier.  All the more reason to slow down and watch where you step.

NOTES

Water, shade, info kiosk and dry toilets available at Burkett Park.

Water and shade available at Chaparral Pavillion - where service road and Chaparral trail meet.
