Finally checking out this trail

Sunny Trail
Some spots allow a bit of Sun to come through. Beyond one mile from Montclair Village it becomes almost all Sun.

Comments:

Coppertone and I took about a year to finally walk this trail so close to home.  Not expecting much, it was just a way to fill up some time on Saturday and check off another trail.

In reality, the first mile of the trail was surprisingly enjoyable.  Hidden behind the businesses of Montclair Village, the trail gradually ascends into Shepherd Canyon.  A few walkers or cyclists now and then and some traffic noise from the roads don't make for great solitude, but many portions of the trail were peaceful nevertheless.
