North Shore Bell's Trailhead loop

Rats!!
All this year I've seen rats but didn't photograph one until I went to the park's bird blind. Saw three rats at once come out and scrounge for food.

Route  Bell's Trailhead> Shady Lane > service road > Scenic Loop > Lower Slick Rock> River Bend Ghost Camp > service road > Badlands (N) > Dinosaur > Bell's Trailhead      6.6 miles

Temps in the mid 50's, sunny and slight wind.

First hike of 2016 with friends.  Park personnel did some controlled burning but not on the trails.  Talked to a mountain biker who told us he saw a mountain lion on Christmas day near the River Bend Ghost Camp.  Would like to see and photograph one myself!

Shade, info kiosk and dry toilets available at River Bend Ghost Camp.

Water, shade and info kiosk available at Dinosaur Tracks Exhibit Area --- UPDATE  --- a week ago the water was not available; it is NOW!!!
