Strata of plant communities

Many sections of the trail were just beginning to dry out from recent rains. These sections are actually more manageable than others.

Comments:

This represented our longest hike of our trip and also one of the more informative ones. An excellent trail guide provided descriptions of the many different varieties of plants found through several different plant communities as we hiked uphill from the coast.
