South Shore Roadrunner Loop off Strawberry Trail

A Nice Grey Fox!
Saw him coming from the area where the park's bison normally are. He saw me, sauntered across the road and disappeared in the brush.

Today I hiked along the west portion of Roadrunner Loop which is between 3 - 3 1/2 miles in length.  It is designated as "Hikers Only" and provides a safe, fairly level dirt path for hiking or jogging.  Controlled burns have cleared some of the area encircled by the trail.

Lots of trash laying about and I will get it tomorrow.  Best thing about the hike - I saw a Verdin and a grey fox!

NOTES

Water, shade, info kiosk and toilets available at Playground parking lot.

Water and toilets available at the mid-point by the Lake View campground.
