Lots of interconnected trails

Three Meadow Trail
Three Meadow Trail does indeed traverse three small meadows, but the start is quite shady.

Comments:

Coppertone and I weren't entirely sure about the trails here.  We suspected there was not much to do and we had heard some rumors about homeless emcampments out back.  But we pass by here too often not to give it a go.

The terrain is flat and easy to navigate with some mix of small open meadows and tree cover.  Markers for the official trails were useful, but we were a bit perplexed by the numerous additional paths recently ploughed into the soil that were not on the official park map.  We're not sure what they're up to with those.

We saw no homeless and never once felt like the area was a dangerous place.  There were plenty of people using the nearby soccer fields and a sprinkling of walkers and a couple of bicyclists using the trails.  One lady was foraging for blackberries on the bushes bearing fruit.

There's a paved path around the main soccer field which we passed on for this trip.  We'd already amassed about 3.5 files and the temperature was starting to rise.

It's not really a destination park worthy of a drive from across the county, but still worth the visit if you're in the area for getting some easy mileage in.

Day Hikes Around Sonoma County is a collection of 125 of the county's best day hikes, providing access to both well-known and out-of-the-way greenspace. Hikes are found along the Pacific Ocean, across the coastal ridges, into wide valleys, and through thick forests. A third of the hikes are located along the coastline, accessed by Highway 1, which connects the coastal towns as it snakes along the oceanfront cliffs and bluffs. Many coastal access points that are not easily recognized from Highway 1 are clearly described. The remaining hikes explore the inland mountains, hillsides, and valleys through numerous state parks, regional parks, and undeveloped land. Highlights include fog-shrouded redwood forests, creekside canyons, wildlife sanctuaries, lakes, tidal bays, wave-pounded coastline, and sweeping panoramic views. A wide range of hikes accommodates amateur to avid hikers, from beachfront strolls to canyon treks. Straight-forward directions and clear maps accompany all hikes. A thorough index includes cities, trails, and points of interest.
