The hawk was sitting on the branch when the two starlings appeared so he decided to leave.

This is my 200th log entry!!

Temps start at 62 end at 75, light winds, partly cloudy then sunny.

Haven't hiked in a few weeks due to weather and park closure for hunting.  Most of the trails have been groomed BUT the southern portion of River Bend and most of Javalina are R-O-U-G-H!!!  The combination of wet trails and the park's longhorns have really done a number on the trails - they are difficult to walk and will be for awhile.

Still lots of caterpillars and butterflies but the Monarchs are mostly gone.  A good day for a hike!

NOTES

Water available at Bell's Trailhead in the campground.
