My wife, son and I hiked out and back to Phoenix Falls. Getting to the trailhead can be challenging unless you have a 4WD or AWD with high clearance, but you can park near the Phoenix Park Mill Site about 1/2 mile downhill from the trailhead. The first part of the trail is a rollercoaster with a lot of up and down, but it eventually levels off for most of the way. There is an old, abandoned cabin fairly close to the falls that I suppose was used by hunters in the past. The falls themselves are quite beautiful. We went in June so there was a good water flow from the snow melt. We also saw a lot of beaver dams along East Willow Creek.
