Comments:

Coppertone and I drove around the Lake in the Woods Campground until we noticed the trailhead sign for this hike directly across from camp site #1.  Unlike our previous hike to Clover Falls, the trail here descends towards its goal.

Several large trees had recently fallen across the trail, which would have largely made it impassable.  Workers had come in and cut large chunks of the trunks away, providing safe and easy passage.

After just short of a half mile from the trailhead we finally spotted Hemlock Falls.  Dense foliage made replicating the view from the trail to what we had seen in photos impossible.  Still, it was a nice short trail to wrap up the morning before we had lunch at an unoccupied camp site next to the campground lake.
