Breakfast on the River
I watched this young beaver forage back and forth in the water before he decided it was time for a meal.

Leg 1 - Bell's Trailhead > Shady Trail > Trailhead to Trailhead (S) > North Scenic Loop > Trailhead to Trailhead (S) > South Slick Rock > Lower Ghost Camp Trail > River Bend Campground > Lower Ghost Camp Trail > Ghost Camp > River Bend Trail (WNW)    4 miles

Leg 2 -  River Bend (N) > Badlands > Upper Big Hill > Dinosaur Trail > Dinosaur Tracks Viewing Area > Dinosaur Trail > Trailhead to Trailhead (N) > Bell's Trailhead     4 miles

Temp started at 80, ended at 98.  High, overcast clouds then sunny.  Light and intermittent winds from the W then NW.

A quiet, very nice hike along groomed, easy to see and traverse, trails.  Today was an exceptional day as I saw two beavers at the river along Shady Trail (photo attached).  This is the first time I saw two beavers at the same time. I also spotted deer, numerous birds, a ring collared snake (the longest I've seen at about 14-18 inches) and for the seventh time in a row, a horned lizard at the Ghost Camp.
