A bit overgrown

A view of the canyon to the east of the trail. This also meant shooting into the Sun in the morning.
User: Austin Explorer - 9/29/2005

Location: Caprock Canyons - Canyon Rim Trail

Difficulty:  Solitude:
Miles Hiked: 9.08 Miles  Elapsed Time: 6 hours, 4 minutes

Comments: The best views on the trail are near the start and along the Mesa Trail loop that lies at the end of the this trail. Much of the trail surface is sandy, which provided lots of animal tracks to examine along the way. We encountered only one other person on the trail, a single rider with two mules. The trail a bit overgrown, so watch out for those panhandle stickers, which are quite painful!
