I hiked the possum kingdom trail several times and it has good trails but also hiked Johnson Peak more than once too. They both have very good scenery, challenging hikes and some solitude on each. But Johnson Peak is much better for it wonderful views on the top, including Hell's Gate to the south. Nearby convenience/gas stations.
