My wife and I hiked up to High Dune. 2.87 miles round trip took over 3 hours. Walking up and through sand is very challenging since for every step you take you slide back half a step.

This was a challenging hike and Class 2 climb to the summit of West Spanish Peak. There is no trail to the summit, so it's basically a frontal assault through the scree. Very challenging and a good workout. The views from the top were primo.
