The last couple times I've hiked this I haven't seen a soul on the trail. Might have to do with the 100+ degree heat... BRING WATER!
Must do hike...highly recommended

Hiked the loop plus some side trails in a couple days. Fantastic place to visit. The weather was great. Hike in plenty of water. Flies were quite bad. Not many people on the trails. Saw a mountion lion! I will be back to hike this again.
Good day hike/over night

I hiked the majority of the trails in one day. The campsites are nice. Only saw a couple people. Besure to get a site on the bluffs just above the river, not above the creek :) There are a couple rock walls good for climbing on the north side of the bluffs. When I went in mid-may, it was very hot! So be prepared.
Great quick view

I climb this hill every time I go to Austin, usually before I adventure into the city. It has some great views! I suggest taking the senic route (Scenic Rd) which goes along the hills/shore of the lake.
