Distance: 4.00 Miles Duration: 2 hours, 42 minutes

We went back the day after hiking the East Rim trail and hiked the West Rim trail out to the Shafer Canyon Overlook and back.  Views were not as breathtaking as the East Rim, but still very nice.

Rating: 3point5stars Difficulty: 1star Solitude: 1point5stars
Distance: 4.40 Miles Duration: 3 hours, 4 minutes

My wife and I hiked to Dead Horse Point via the East Rim trail that leaves from the back of the Visitor's Center.  We had intended to walk the entire loop that includes the West Rim, but my wife was tired so we walked thr road back to the Visitor's Center.  4.4 miles roundtrip with minimal elevation change.  Breathtaking views of the canyons below.
