Quail Creek Park - 5/16/2015  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3point5stars Difficulty: halfstar Solitude: 1star
Distance: 1.00 Mile Duration: 30 minutes

I enjoyed this hike.  It is a park that the entire neighborhood seems to use.  However, the atmosphere is very inviting, with the number and diversity of trees.  The grass had not been mowed, but there weren't any insects bothering me.  I jogged the half mile perimiter and then added a figure 8 in the middle of the park to approximate a mile.

Nightengale Archaeological Center - 3/28/2015  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3stars Difficulty: halfstar Solitude: halfstar
Distance: 0.50 Mile Duration: 1 hour

This is more of an educational tour than a hike.  We enjoyed the interaction and knowledge gained.  Great sceanery, as you arrive in Kingsland!  The hike intself is only between a quarter mile and a half mile.

Sendero Springs Trail - 1/17/2015  [View Log Page]
Rating: 4stars Difficulty: 1star Solitude: 1point5stars
Distance: 3.40 Miles Duration: 2 hours

This was another enjoyable hike.  Walking through a housing community. Good architecture and inspired respect for sustainable use of the land. We parked at Sendero Springs Pool.  Walked across the road to the trail head, did the loop around the water retentiona area, then back to the trail and up the divide in Great Oaks Drive.  A short two blocks at the top of Great Oaks Dvive, back to the car, on the same raod that we drove in. Mostly crushed granite, lots of playgrounds and occasional benches to sit and rest.  No hills.

Pepper Creek Hike & Bike Trail - 1/11/2015  [View Log Page]
Rating: 4stars Difficulty: halfstar Solitude: 2stars
Distance: 2.75 Miles Duration: 1 hour

We enjoyed this hike.  Saw some birds we don't normally see while hiking. Also, impressed by the civic engineering.

Mesa Village Park - 8/18/2014  [View Log Page]
Rating: 2stars Difficulty: halfstar Solitude: halfstar
Distance: 0.60 Mile Duration: 15 minutes

There is a sidewalk that makes a loop in this park.  The sidewalk is the trail.  It is very smooth and you can watch lots of kids with friendly parents as you walk.  I did two loops.  Walked the first one, and jogged the second.  Several women were walking with baby strollers, and there is a playground.  A small group of older boys was playing socccer.
