All the issueswith this park, switchbacks, twists and turns, uneven terrain, etc. can be explained by the fact that this park is a singletrack mountain bike trail. Roots, twists, turns, hills are desireable aspects for them. Also, there have been some complaints on the DORPA (think I got that right) site that the trails haven't been maintained in awhile and there is a call for volunteers to remedy this in April. I was on their site looking for a map prior to visiting there. There is a hunter path to allow hunters access for cutting through the park, which explains the shots one reviewer heard.This fact is clearly posted. Bikes are expected to stay off the hunter trail, but I'm sure you can hike it if you want to. Don't expect this park to be particularly accommodating to hikers and remember that hikers yield to bikers.   If you know that going in, you know what to expect.  Still a nice ramble.
