My wife and I hiked the Sweetwater River Trail in conjunction with the loop around Rohr Park and the Chula Vista Golf Course.  You can read the entire log here.  The Sweetwater River Trail is a linear down-and-back single track trail that is open to hikers, bikers and equestrians.  The trail parallels the Sweetwater River, which is usually dry from Sweetwater Road out to Plaza Bonita Road.  Sadly, there are a lot of makeshift homeless camps along the way.  There are a few rest benches along the trail.
