Went for a walk with my girlfriend at Meyer Park. We connected to the Gourley Nature Trail and to Collins Park before turning around.

Beautiful day in Houston, so I went for a long walk along Cypress Creek out to the end of the Hike & Bike trail near T.C. Jester and then returned.

Took the hike & bike trails from Meyer Park along Cypress Creek out past Collins Park to where it ends at Cypresswood Drive near T.C. Jester. My right calf seized up on me, however, so I ended up limping the way back. :(

Went walking with a friend. We went from Meyer Park (creek side) to Gourley Mature Trail to Collins Park, then back. Nice day in Houston to be out exercising. The Cypress Creek Greenway is coming together nicely in this area.

Meyer Park is a fairly large park that straddles both sides of Cypresswood Drive. It has paved walkways that meander around both sides of the park. This park is very busy so don't expect solitude. However, if you're looking to exercise and you don't walk to do it alone, there are plenty of people exercising at this park. One of the nicer parks in NW Houston.
At the far west end of Meyer Park on the south side of Cypresswood Drive, there is an unnamed nature trail that loops around through the woods. It is very short (approximately 1/3 mile).
At the east end of Meyer Park on the south side of Cypresswood Drive, you can catch the Gourley Nature Trail to Collins Park. You can read my log of that trail here.
At the south end of Meyer Park on the south side of Cypresswood Drive, you can also catch the Cypresswood Trails, a popular hike & bike trail that runs along Cypress Creek.

Dogs are allowed as long as they're on leashes. I'm not sure how far I hiked, but I'd say it was only a mile or two. I started off from the parking lot (on the creek side), headed off towards the small pond, walked around that, then walked along the creek. A great mini-hike for me and my 16-year-old dog!
