Comments:

This is the log of the 2nd day of group hiking in the McKinney Roughs Nature Park.  The first day log can be found here.

This hiked occurred on a Sunday, when the Visitor's Center is closed, so we started at the "Hwy 71 Trailhead" about 1/2 mile east of the main entrance.

There are various trails running through the area as a "tangled mess".  We were not able to hike the Pine Ridge Trail, however, since it was closed to tree maintenance.  I found these trails to be even rockier than the ones from the previous day, but I had my trusty hiking stick to help me maintain balance.  There were a lot of wildflowers in bloom, as well as some very pretty, blooming cacti.  There are some rolling hills throughout the park so you get some elevation training and cardio work.
