Comments:

The Tolby Creek Trail is a constant, gradual ascent through a meadow and up a mountain.  It is a lollipop-shaped loop.  The lower trail leads you past the creek and up to some hunting campgrounds where supposedly deer and elk breed (I didn't see either).  At the top/end of the trail, the trail is not well-marked so I had to do some cross country exploring.  I returned on the upper trail (very scenic).  If you ascend the trail via the Upper Tolby Trail, it will be a good workout since you have to ascend quite awhile before the trail levels off.
