Comments:

The Abiquiu Dam Trail is actually a group of various trails on the east side of Lake Abiquiu. This manmade lake was made when the Army Corps Of Engineers constructed the dam to control flooding in the area. The trailhead starts/ends near the Visitor Center and the trails are well-marked. The section of the trail along Lake Abiquiu provides scenic overlooks of the lake and surrounding area.
