Rohr Park

Rohr Park is a very large community park in Bonita, CA that features a 3.1 mile jogging trail that loops around the park and the Chula Vista golf course.  The trail is partly paved concrete and partly dirt trail, but very easy to follow and hike.  It is a popular spot for walkers and joggers.  My wife and I did this hike in conjunction with the Sweetwater River Trail that branches off and goes along the Sweetwater River out towards the south side of the Plaza Bonita mall.  Rohr Park has all the typical amenities, sports fields, lots of open grassy areas and even a small train track to give rides to children and parents.

The Sweetwater River Trail is a single track dirt path that takes you through some remote palm groves.  Sadly, this area is also filled with a lot of homeless camps.  The Sweetwater River trail is open to hiking, mountain biking and equestrians.
