There were about 30 blowdowns on the trail that we had to go under, over or around. Many of them were dead trees from the 2013 fire.

My wife, son and I hiked up to Little Ruby Lake via the Fern Creek Trail. It is all-up (3.75 miles) and you gain almost 2,000 ft of elevation topping out around 11,250 ft, so it's a good workout. Apparently there was a big fire in this area back in 2013, so there are a lot of deadfall/blowdowns. We must have had to go over/under/around 30-40 of them, making the hike somewhat of an obstacle course.
