Trail Not Maintained

My wife and I had intended to hike up 4 miles to the Wason Park cutoff trail up near Mammoth Mt and then back down, but the trail was not maintained and nonexistent so we turned around half way and called it a day. It was hot, footing was tricky and too much tick-infested foliage to push through.  Not a fun day on the trails.
