Mustang Island State Park is a nice section of beach filled with seashells, sea gulls, sand dunes, and the calming sounds of waves.
This beach is similar to, but nicer than the Padre Island National Park just south of it. I saw a lot of jellyfish washed ashore on Padre's beaches, but not on Mustang Island's beaches.
This is not a hike, but more of a leisurely beach stroll. if you find the sound of waves calming like I do, you'll enjoy a few hours on this beach.
