The trail started very good, with lots of bridges and very well taken care of. After exiting Winter's Bayou there is a large fairly open area where I sighted white tailed deer and a few hawks. This section of the trail did get hard to follow during sections where all the underbrush has been burned down.

This was a short hike, but lots of fun. I actually saw a good amount of wildlife including a very large alligator snapping turtle. The negatives were all at night, when there were lots of people yelling, and dogs roaming around barking right outside of tent. I am going to hike the whole 130 miles soon.

Awesome Hike! Very diverse scenery with amazing rock formations. Lots of very interesting geologic activity can be seen on and around the rock dome. Make sure to climb the rock and check out the caves.
